Energy Healing as an Agentic Way of Healing
We are designed to literally and figuratively change our minds. We do this all the time related to our tastes and styles, but we can also change our minds in our beliefs and our ability to heal. This can be understood through sleep science and the glymphatic system and the medulla oblongata at the base of our brains and the top of our spinal cords, which is called a ‘relay switch’ between our nervous systems and our minds’ ability to understand what happens when we change our beliefs. When we feel it to be real, it’s a truth that exists as a form in our bodies, which is why many people say it’s our mindset that impacts our health, which is the truth! Take the time to uncover it as a truth for yourself. If it doesn’t work, that’s ok, take what does work and leave the rest as you find your own path.
Sublimating Energy
Sublimation is described in both psychology and physics and works from both perspectives when we heal through speaking our truths. Both descriptors are the medicine we need to heal ourselves and there is a way to find joy through the topographical understanding (when we can’t see what’s in front of us because it’s obscured) that we aren’t always in a rut and we’re not always soaring towards the clouds. In other words, when you’re up, you’re up and when you’re down, you’re down, but we all have ways of describing those feelings and all the ways are right and true for ourselves. Phrases like feeling like a lead balloon or feeling like molasses might describe your rut, while saying your heart is singing or you feel light and bright might describe your up feeling. These metaphors keep you adjusted to the right type of healing medicine through sublimation. Here is another way to look at it: when you say your heart is singing, it’s playing all the right cords that help you move, or feeling the good vibes. It’s all interconnected as we all are and moves us when we feel the harmony of being in Source radiation of love. Conversely, it can feel like a dark night of the soul when we are disconnected from who we really are, which disconnects us from others. But as we say, there’s always another bend in the road and healing through sublimation can get you there faster.

Mantras
To heal energetically, we speak mantras out loud. They can also work if you say them in your mind, but it’s more powerful when the words hit the air, causing a vibration that our bodies feel and our minds and hearts also sense. When you say the words out loud, you open an energetic current to flip the switch that causes the change. There are many more methods for healing energetically, this is one of them — and isn’t it wonderful that we have a choice of what works best for us! If this isn’t for you, move on to the next one, it’s not a problem because we can open our minds to enjoy the process rather than feeling disgruntled that the homeopathic medicine we’re taking isn’t working or our doctors aren’t hearing our words through their heart centers when we explain what we’re feeling in our bodies and minds. As with all things, communication is the key and we need find a way to communicate with ourselves, which is an agentic way of living, or finding the authority within ourselves to act proactively. This is why great orators have such power; they use their words to create change by opening our hearts and minds while we feel it in the air.
Breathing is Powerful
The breath is a powerful method for creating change in your body and is also a big reason why exercise is important. Many people use their breath to control the movement when they exercise, but if you change your perspective and consider that the movement controls the breath, it might make exercise more enjoyable for you if you don’t like it. Breath work can get monotonous for me and feels awkward, so I combine it with movement or exercise to help me feel it more fully and less foolishly. It’s a weird moment when you suddenly get why you don’t like — or have a harder time than most — doing something, but it’s that weirdness that helps you understand why. Asking why is the best way to understand it while moving on without judging yourself. I know it’s hard not to be so harsh towards ourselves, especially related to body weight and shape, weight gain and wearing the clothes that are the latest fashion. I am so happy that skinny jeans are no longer a thing! I didn’t like them from the start and found it impossible to find another style that I liked and suited me best. This is how we often feel about exercise and breath work, so find the type and style that suits you best and do it without comparing yourself to others.
Frequencies
While sitting on my back deck in the sun, I am listening to healing music as I try to calm the low humming in my left ear that is generically called tinnitus. I don’t know fully what it is, but I do know it’s impacting my vagas/ aortic nerve, so it sends me into overwhelm if it lasts for more than a day, which it has at this point. The low frequency in my ear is one way my body tells me something isn’t right, but I wish it would pick something else! There are so many ways I see through my lens as a healer how my body speaks to me without words. Consider how we try to stay healthy, but our bodies have another way of telling us something isn’t right, which is another way of being agentic. You might experience it as a sudden pain in your body, for example. It’s not just about aging, these types of things tell us we’re in an ‘altered’ state and we need to pay attention to our bodies, hearts and minds. I’ll go out on a limb and say that women deal with this more than men as we are judged more harshly than they are in all areas of life. But to move out of the low frequency, we need time to sit and uncover our truths, or the forms in our bodies that are telling us it’s time for something different. It doesn’t have to be a long moment, you can stay in the flow of what you’re doing, which might help get you there faster. You can find any type of healing modality including the frequency of singing bowls, music tuned just right, or listening to the sounds of nature. Whatever calms your nervous system and keeps you feeling uplifted.
